SC 1,000 Year Historic Flood February 18, 2016

Flood damage from the October 3rd  storm caused about $12 “billion” in damages. The hurricane Hugo impact was only $7 billion, back in 1989. The storm dumped about 2 feet of rain on some regions of the State. Some 52,000 residents applied for disaster relief, as most did NOT have a Flood Insurance policy (because they were not in a high hazard flood zone).

How important is it to have a Flood policy??
